1. Check your USAV Age Division using this chart: USAV Age Definitions for 2024-25. Players will register for tryouts based on their age division. Please note that our system will NOT allow you to register for a different age group.
2. Explore our team levels - note that 13U-18U Elite and ONE teams will tryout in July. 11U-16U State and Regional team tryouts will remain in October.

2024-25 Tryout Dates

Greenville

If you cannot attend a tryout, please notify us for makeup options. In most cases, we can accommodate an alternate tryout time for players who have a conflict with their age group. Please note that tryout times are subject to change. Registered players will be notified of any changes via email.

Fall Tryouts
All Greenville fall tryouts take place at C1 Sportsplex at 255 Service Bay Road, Mauldin, SC 29662. Fall tryouts will be held primarily for our 11U-17U State and Regional level teams, as well as to fill any remaining spots on our Select and Elite level teams. Tryouts are held over the course of two days as individual skills are the focus of day 1 and team skills / 6v6 skills are the focus of day 2. Athletes should attend both days of tryouts.

Easley

Fall Tryouts
All Easley fall tryouts take place at at C1 Sportsplex at 255 Service Bay Road, Mauldin, SC 29662. Fall tryouts will be held to form our 12U-17U State, Regional, and Select level teams.

 

Laurens

All Laurens tryouts will be held in October at the C1 Sportsplex in Mauldin.

2024-25 Palmetto Region Tryout Policy

JUNIOR TRYOUT & COMMITMENT DATE POLICY

• Tryouts for Girls’ and Boys’ junior athletes for the next USAV season may take place at any time after the completion of the prior season’s USAV Girls’ Junior National Championships (GJNC).
• Athletes may try out for as many clubs as they desire. A Multi-Club Tryout form must be submitted via the Palmetto Region website before tryouts begin.
• All athletes must purchase a “try-out membership” before participating in tryouts for any USAV member clubs.
• Athletes may officially commit to a USAV club in SportsEngine (the USAV member management system) beginning on November 1. This commitment will be the only officially recognized commitment by the Palmetto Region. 
• Players may only affiliate with one club during the USAV indoor club season. Once you affiliate with a club in SportsEngine, you must honor that commitment through the completion of the USAV Girls' Junior National Championships, unless released by the club director.
• Requests for transfers to another USAV club will be handled by the Palmetto Region Club Transfer Policy. 
• All personal business/legal commitments made between the club and a player’s family will remain the responsibility of the related parties. The Palmetto Region will not be responsible for enforcing private agreements. The Region encourages individual clubs to communicate and collaborate with other local clubs on unpaid member fees.

The Palmetto Region affirms the importance of the high school volleyball season. Additionally, the Region offers and endorses the following resources for parents and clubs to assist in navigating the club tryout process. Families are encouraged to support clubs that enact policies and procedures in line with these ideals.
