Because the situation may rapidly change and new information is available every day, the Palmetto Region has decided to take each event one at a time, and make a decision approximately five days out as to the status of the tournaments. As of now, all tournaments are still planned to take place as scheduled. This includes this weekend's tournament in Columbia, as well as Palmetto Regionals. Big South, JVA World Challenge, and subsequent tournaments have also stated that they are monitoring conditions and will wait to make a decision. The status of these tournaments may change in the coming weeks, but for now, all have said that they are monitoring the situation and will decide closer to the events. As we learn the status of upcoming tournaments, we will be sure to share that information with all our club members.

 

As a club, we understand that some families may not be comfortable attending tournaments, and that is okay. We encourage you to make the best decision you can based on your individual family's circumstances. We ask that if you decide not to attend, you let your coach and me know as soon as possible. Keep in mind that your decision may affect your team's ability to field a full team, so we appreciate your prompt and honest communication so that we can communicate with tournament directors and region staff as needed.

 

As of now, all C1 practices are still on schedule, and we will let you know of any changes. We are closely monitoring the response of local school districts, and will follow their decisions, as we do for inclement weather and other closures.
