C1 State Program

Overview

Carolina One State teams are limited-travel club teams for ages 15 and under. State teams will be composed of 8-9 players and a head coach. Teams will practice once a week and will compete in 3-4 tournaments, all in South Carolina. This team is a good option for players who are exploring volleyball or who have school sports or other commitments that prevent them from committing to a full travel team. We ask that players interested in State teams attend tryouts, but we only "cut" players if necessary to preserve the coach to player ratio. The State team season runs from tryouts in October/November to early March.

Investment

Cost for the 2011-12 Carolina One State team is $500 and includes all team practices, position practices, QSA training, coaching fees, 3 full-day tournaments, 1-2 half-day tournaments, region registration fee, jersey, spandex, socks and t-shirt. Sweats, warmups, kneepads and other Carolina One apparel are available for an additional cost. Fees do not include travel expenses such as hotels, gas or food at tournaments. Program fee is payable in two installments of $250.

Schedule

Tryouts for the 2011-12 State teams will begin in late October. Check our tryouts page for more information.Team practices will begin in November and tournaments will begin in January. Players can expect to attend one tournament in January, one in February and one in March. Two tournaments are in the Upstate and one is in Columbia.
