Nikki Anthony

About Nikki

Nikki Anthony began playing volleyball at the age of five at the Pickens Rec Center. Since then, she has played for both Pickens Middle School and Pickens High School, where she led the team to four consecutive State Championships. Nikki was also named a Gatorade Player of the Year for South Carolina for three years and was a two-time high school All-American. Her high school jersey #22 is retired, and she is a member of the Pickens HS Hall of Fame.

Nikki went on to play volleyball and basketball at Florida State University, then went on to play professional basketball in the Austrian Women’s Basketball League. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Physical Education from Florida State University in 2007. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education from Anderson University.

Nikki has also had experience coaching, running the Pickens Volleyball Camp for 2nd-9th graders for 10 years and putting on various clinics for area schools and rec programs. In 2009-10, she served as head coach for the Carolina One 17 Regional Pickens team, leading the team to a top-half finish at the Big South National Qualifier, one of the highest finishes for any Carolina One team. Her 2010-11 17 Regional team finished 14th at the AAU National Championships.

Nikki received her IMPACT certification through USA Volleyball in January of 2010. This is her second year coaching club in the Palmetto Region. She currently coaches varsity basketball and teaches at Woodmont High School.
