Lauren Jenkins graduated with honors from Wingate University, where she earned a degree in psychology. While at Wingate, Lauren played volleyball under the direction of Shelton Collier, the USAV Youth National team coach. She continued her education at Webster University, where she earned her MBA in counseling. She currently works as a claims representative at Social Security. Originally from Anderson, Lauren played club volleyball for Clemson Juniors for six years and was a member of the first ever team from the Palmetto Region to compete at the USAV Junior Olympic National Championship in Denver in 1995. Lauren began coaching in 2004 with Spirit Volleyball club in Anderson, where she coached for four seasons on teams ranging from 13U to 17U. She has also coached for the Anderson Recreational Department for the past six years, working primarily with players ages 8-13.
