One club, One goal

Carolina One Volleyball is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting volleyball in the Upstate of South Carolina.

Our club was founded in 2007 with 3 teams practicing out of local Greenville schools and recreation centers with the goal of providing athletes a place to play and improve their skills within the city of Greenville. Click here to read the rest of the Carolina One History.

We are a volleyball club committed to improving the level of volleyball in the Palmetto region. Our slogan is “One club, One goal.” Along these lines, we are striving to unite a dedicated group of coaches, players, and parents whose single goal it is to raise the level of volleyball in South Carolina, while at the same time developing young women as people, students, and athletes.

Our Mission

We aim to build on every athlete’s potential as a volleyball player. We are committed to developing the whole person, and we focus on teaching the game of volleyball within a positive atmosphere that will allow our players to grow as athletes. We want to work with like-minded parents, players, and coaches who share our goal of improving the level of play in the Palmetto region

Our Goals

  • To provide quality training for every athlete involved in our program.
  • To develop players as individuals, team players, and well-rounded people.
  • To improve the overall level of volleyball in South Carolina.
  • To develop teams that are competitive not only in the Palmetto Region, but throughout the Southeast and the country.
  • To work closely with parents and families to provide a positive club experience for everyone involved.

Club Requirements

Clubs in South Carolina vary greatly in philosophy, coaching, intensity, and commitment level. Here is what we expect of our players and what you can expect from us in return:
Our expectations

As an athlete at Carolina One, we expect you to:

  • Be on time to every practice, tournament, and team meeting.
  • Come to practice ready to play and participate fully in every part of practice.
  • Attend every tournament and be supportive of your team at all times.
  • Show respect and have a positive attitude towards your teammates and coaches.
  • Talk to your coach promptly if a problem or concern arises.

Your expectations

You can expect us to:

  • Provide a positive and healthy athletic and life learning environment for all of our players.
  • Provide quality training to every athlete in our program.
  • Consider each player’s goals to develop a unique training plan for each athlete.
  • Work closely with parents and families throughout the club experience.
  • Work to make our athletes better as individuals, but to also build strong teams.
  • Make decisions based on the best interests of the players and their families in an effort to allow every individual to be a better person, student, and athlete.
